Full SNGFS Update | All Leagues

What up fantasy sports fans?  This is your commish here to give you the what's up.  Mainly to address a few things around the SNGFS.  

1.  The Football League (SNGFL) is on and we have the most managers ever in the league.  16 to be exact.  To the managers of the league, make sure you have your week 2 rosters set.   Also, this league has a Pick ‘Em.  Just follow the link on the menu and make your picks for SNGFL Week 2 Matchup Winners.  

2.  SNGPFP - Mightty Gridiron Pick ‘Em.   We are very tight with the points gap from first to last is only 16 points.  Everyone hit above .500.  Great picking.  Hopefully you have placed in your picks for week 2 especially tonight's game between the Jets and Bills.   Also, the Pick ‘Em is still welcoming more participants.  Not too late to join.  Just click the link (http://sngfs.blogspot.com/2016/09/mighty-gridiron-pro-football-pick-invite.html?m=1) for the invitation.   Let me know if you have any questions.

4. SNGSRV.  Survivor Football is also in full swing, but it is not too late to join.  You only pick one matchup winner and if you are correct, you continue on and avoid 3 losses.   The invite link is:  http://sngfs.blogspot.com/2016/08/2016-survivor-football-invite.html?m=1.

6.  The SNGLB is now in post-season and since there were only 4 teams, all of them make it to the Championship Bracket.  Here as the matchups:  

7.  Fantasy Golf (SNGGA) and Auto Racing (SNGCAR - NASCAR-Go) are also entering their playoff phases.  Good luck to all as the end of the season approaches.

Week One Announcements

Alright folks.  Want to wish you all good luck this season.  Hope you got your teams ready.  You can always adjust throughout the week, just know that if it is within 5 minutes off your player's game, movement stops.   

Also, if you didn't know, there is an internal league Pick 'Em.  If you haven't made your picks yet then I am sorry.   Yahoo! locks it right at game time of the first game of the week.  Try to get in your picks before the first game of the week, which of course now is Thursday nights.   

I also have separate Pick 'Ems for College & Pro along with Survivor Football that you all can join at anytime.   Go to sngfs.blogspot.com to find invites and join.

2016 SNGFL Draft Complete

I would like to again that all who attended the 2016 SNGFL draft in Yahoo! Fantasy Sports.   It looked like we had a pretty good turnout because the draft for the most part went pretty smooth and somewhat fast.  

If some you didn't know, Yahoo recently have been rating or grading the drafts and issue out a grade list for each team in the league, a detailed report on each team and a Best Draft Award to a manager who pretty much ended up with the best drafted team.  

The Yahoo! Best Drafted Team Award goes to:

Congratulations Enforcer (Dan).  You experience in the Fantasy Football World still continues to pay off.  

As for the rest of us, here are the all of the teams' draft report card grades:

So most of us did very well and the rest of us (including me) not so hot, but this is just according to the "pros" at Yahoo! Sports.  Not to knock their skill, but I am sure they are not always right.   Of course the truth will be shown by the end of the regular season so be the best manager you can be and so will I.

2016 SNGFL Draft Is Ready

Alright Managers, the draft is set up!  The keepers have been selected by you all and the draft order made.   

Now I am sure some of you may not be hot on the order, but not to worry.  If you look at the pic, the managers who have keepers set will be skipped over the number of rounds = to the number keeper made.  

It is unfortunate that some of you from the previous season didn't think any of your former players were not worthy of keeping, but I guess that allows you to pick sooner.  

18 rounds for the draft. Hopefully it will not take over 2 hours.  More people in attendance = less time in the draft.

Opening Ceremony | 2016 Olympics

So the days or weeks leading up to the Olympics in Rio, Brazil was nowhere a smith transition.   Talks of delays, the worries of the Zika virus and many other issues made people, including myself, question why did the IOC give the Olympics to this city.   They beat out some amazing locations and I wonder if more came into play than just dumb luck.  

Anyways I managed to make it able to see the the opening ceremony and like many others, it was very impressive.   I still say that Bejing, China was the best I have ever seen.  Brazil showed their love for art, music, dance and history. 

The march of the nations were cool and one nation stood out or should I say one person of a nation.   His name was Pita Taufatofua from Tonga.  Now I am sure he was in traditional dress, but he had to have known the response he would have gotten.   The lady commentators on MBC were funny in their response.  

The rest of the ceremony was great and the cauldron for the Olympic Flame was especially impressive.  

I hope the rest of the Olympics go well.  I am the most concerned about the polluted beaches and waters.  I guess we shall see. 

2016-17 Season | SNGFL

Hello participants of the SNGFL 2016-17!  

Sorry I have not been communicating much, but now as we are approaching a new season, you will hearing more from me.  

Anyways, the draft, which is live, will be on Saturday, September, 3rd.   In the afternoon I believe.  I will give you the time later and we can see what works and what does not work.   

In the meantime, go into the league and set your keepers.  The criteria for this is that you can only keep 5 players total and you can keep more that 2 players per position.  This must be completed by Sunday, August 28th (STC).  Now if you are new to the league, this does not apply.
