Tech-Mo Bowl: Defending Champion No More

It has been a rough and trying few weeks as my squad, the defending champion Rhyme Syndicate, has received their 5 straight loss against Hammies Boys by .14 of a point.  Very upsetting.  Something's got to give.  Down the Syndicate chances to make the payoffs is beyond slim, they got to get in a win or two.  Up next is CNote Cowboys who are now sitting at 4-1.  Let's see how it goes.  Check out Yahoo's Recap of my loss:

Weekly Report for 9/23 - 9/29

Hello participants of the SNG Fantasy Sports.  This is a recap of the week of September 23 (Wednesday - Tuesday).

Red Zone College League:

College Football Pick 'Em:

Survivor of the Fittest (Survivor Football):

It is done after the 3 week and Eternal (Wil Clark) comes up the winner.  This is a tough one for sure and hope more of you will join next season.

Pro Football Pick 'Em:

SNGFL:

Tech-Mo Bowl:

Iron Curtain Defensive League:

Then for the Death League that I was trying to set up.  It only gives me 1 hour to gather the league then it does a draft.  I could never get enough of you to sign in on time so I jumped into a Public League just to get a taste of what it is like.

So after each week the teams who scores the least is eliminated from the league.  Then everyone else in the league who survives can go and ravage their team and steal players.  Then prepare for the next week.

The matchups are head to head and the standings for this league is different than normal and pretty fascinating.

The FAB is your budget to us when you are bidding on a player via waivers.  You cannot max out your $1000.  I'm still learning as I go.

Feel free to join a death league if you want to experience it.

Finally for the Knockout League (TKO) on ESPN: Was finally able to get it started and one team has already been eliminated.

Like the Death League, each week you can go and grab players from waivers and you have a Free Agent Budget (FAB) to use for it.  Try to not max out your budget.

Lastly!  The Power Play Hockey League's draft is complete and the new season starts tonight 9/29!  So, players, get your squads ready!  We will see if the Enforcers can defend their title or can Crystal Lake work their way back to the top!

Alright, that is it.

Good luck the upcoming week.

Super Bowl 51

So.  New England has pulled it off.  I was cheering for the Atlanta Falcons for a few reasons.  One, because they had an impressive and sleeper season.  Two, they took out one of my favorite teams in the playoffs in a awesome fashion.  Three, because this would be their first Super Bowl championship if successful.

Now of course they were not successful, but they did have a very good game.  At least for the first half.  Matt Ryan, Devante Freeman and Julio Jones performed beautifully in the first half with the assistance from an outstanding defense.  Great runs from Freeman making the Patriots defense look very foolish.  Jones continued his impressive catches with tip toes near the out of bounds line.  It seemed like all was about lost for the Patriots by halftime, but the beast finally decided to wake up later on.

Brady came out with the determination of turning this routing around and boy did he.  The receiving core responded very well including a mind blowing performance from Edelman.  One catch was made that even this day, people are trying to figure out how he did it.  The Falcons by this time had went into hibernation mode.  Patriots managed to tie it and take it to overtime and with one non-stop drive, the Patriots finish it out with a touchdown.

People say that this turned out to be a great Super Bowl game, but I beg to differ.  My reasoning is because both teams were either awake or sleep at opposite times.  Now very good in my eyes.  Anyways, I was please with them and I look forward to next season.  Now onward to other sports.

I have leagues filling up for Golf, NASCAR & Baseball.  March Madness should be populating later in February.

Feel free to comment and/or email me at sngfscommish@yahoo.com.

2016 SNGFL Draft Complete

I would like to again that all who attended the 2016 SNGFL draft in Yahoo! Fantasy Sports.   It looked like we had a pretty good turnout because the draft for the most part went pretty smooth and somewhat fast.

If some you didn't know, Yahoo recently have been rating or grading the drafts and issue out a grade list for each team in the league, a detailed report on each team and a Best Draft Award to a manager who pretty much ended up with the best drafted team.

The Yahoo! Best Drafted Team Award goes to:

Congratulations Enforcer (Dan).  You experience in the Fantasy Football World still continues to pay off.

As for the rest of us, here are the all of the teams' draft report card grades:

So most of us did very well and the rest of us (including me) not so hot, but this is just according to the "pros" at Yahoo! Sports.  Not to knock their skill, but I am sure they are not always right.   Of course the truth will be shown by the end of the regular season so be the best manager you can be and so will I.

To see your team and everyone else's team draft report from Yahoo!, go to http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/108755/1/draftrecap.  It will start off probably with my report card, which was pretty bad.  To see your own team's report card;

If you are using your phone, scroll all the way down to see all the teams' grades and click on your team's report card link to the right of the grade.

If you are on your mobile phone or your laptop.  The grade list and report card links are located to the right of the report.

Let me know if you have any trouble/need any help.

Alright, that is it folks.  Good luck this season folks and must of all, have fun!

2016 SNGFL Draft Is Ready

Alright Managers, the draft is set up!  The keepers have been selected by you all and the draft order made.

Now I am sure some of you may not be hot on the order, but not to worry.  If you look at the pic, the managers who have keepers set will be skipped over the number of rounds = to the number keeper made.

It is unfortunate that some of you from the previous season didn't think any of your former players were not worthy of keeping, but I guess that allows you to pick sooner.

18 rounds for the draft. Hopefully it will not take over 2 hours.  More people in attendance = less time in the draft.

So RSVP so we can have a good idea.  Here is the link to the invite: https://www.facebook.com/events/205622426519826/?ti=icl

Good luck to all.  Cya tomorrow!
